The Brevard County territory covers Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Kennedy Space Center and Patrick Space Force Base. The statute names all three in subsection (1) and provides that the territory within Kennedy and the Cape station may be referred to as the Cape Canaveral Spaceport; Patrick is in the subsection but outside that name [FS331304]. The Space Coast hub region carries 63 of the 94 nodes on this map, and 38 of its 218 edge endpoints reach outside the region.
The Eastern Range recorded 93 launches in 2024, an official Space Force figure, and more than 100 in 2025 [USSF45] [SN100]. Spaceport of the Future is the range modernization program behind that cadence, with $1.3 billion approved through 2028; it carries an announced entity status because the money is programmed rather than spent [SLD4594].
The pads and complexes
Status key. Each range node carries one cutoff status: operating; under repair; under development; inactive, disposition unverified; announced redevelopment; or retired, historic site. The detail column states what the record shows at the cutoff.
| Range node | Entity type | Cutoff status | Status detail as of the cutoff | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Launch Complex 5 | launch complex | Retired, historic site | Retired. No launch from the complex appears in any source on this map after the Mercury flights. | High [NASAMR3] |
| Launch Complex 14 | launch complex | Under development | Under development for Nova. No orbital launch from the complex recorded at this release. | High [NASAMA6] [STOKEHOME] [WLC14] [NSFLC] |
| Launch Complex 15 | launch complex | Inactive, disposition unverified | Inactive. Leased to ABL Space Systems, which left the commercial launch market in October 2024; the pad's disposition is unverified in the sources located. | Low [WLC15] |
| Launch Complex 16 | launch complex | Under development | Under development for Terran R. No orbital launch from the complex recorded at this release. | Medium [RELTR] [WLC16] [NSFLC] |

| Launch Complex 36 | launch complex | Under repair | Operating infrastructure, temporarily unavailable and under repair at the cutoff. A New Glenn static fire explosion on 28 May 2026 destroyed the vehicle and the transporter erector and damaged the complex; the main launch tower remains. Blue Origin targets a return to flight before the end of 2026. No launch from the complex is recorded between the explosion and the cutoff. | High [FAANG] [MDIVE] [WLC36] [OSLC36] [NSFLC36] [NTRSRL10] |
| Launch Complex 39A | launch complex | Operating | Operating for Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy. A Starship pad is under construction beside the operating pad; the Federal Aviation Administration issued a final environmental impact statement and record of decision in February 2026 authorizing up to 44 Starship launches and 44 landings a year. No Starship launch from the complex is recorded at this release. | High [NASA39AL] [FR39A] [FAA39A] [WLC39A] [NSFSS] |
| Launch Complex 39B | launch complex | Operating | Operating for NASA's Artemis program. | High [NASA39B] [WLC39B] [NASAKSC] |

The Department of the Air Force signed a record of decision on 20 November 2025 authorizing redevelopment of the complex for Starship-Super Heavy, and the record of decision requires a revised decision after the Federal Aviation Administration airspace analysis before any launch or landing. No Starship launch from the complex is recorded at this release. | High [SFSEIS] [DAF37] [WSLC37] [NSFSS] |
| Space Launch Complex 40 | launch complex | Operating | Operating. The highest cadence pad on the Eastern Range. | High [SPXLAUNCH] [WSLC40] [SFN139] [USSF45] |

| Vehicle Assembly Building | vehicle assembly building | Operating | Operating. Upgraded for the Space Launch System after the Shuttle program. | High [NASAVAB] [WVAB] |
A record of decision is not a license to fly. The Federal Aviation Administration published the final environmental impact statement and record of decision for Starship at Launch Complex 39A in February 2026, authorizing up to 44 launches and 44 landings a year [FAA39A] [FR39A]. The Department of the Air Force signed its own record of decision for Space Launch Complex 37 on 20 November 2025 and stated that it will assess the Federal Aviation Administration airspace analysis and finalize a revised decision before any launch or landing [DAF37]. No Starship launch from Florida is recorded at this release.
The operators and the vehicles

Each provider and vehicle carries one cutoff status: operating; operating, final manifest; operating company with launches suspended; previously operating vehicle, grounded; under development; announced for Florida; or exited the launch market. Company statuses describe the operator and vehicle statuses describe the vehicle.

The historic programs before the commercial era
Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and the Space Shuttle are on the map because each has a documented link to a pad, a building or a contractor that still carries a line into the present: Launch Complex 14 now leased to Stoke Space, Launch Complex 36 rebuilt by Blue Origin, Pad 39A held by SpaceX, the Vehicle Assembly Building that now serves the Space Launch System, the Shuttle Landing Facility now run by the state authority, and the RL10 engine whose first flight on Atlas Centaur in 1963 runs through to Vulcan. Each historic node carries the evidence class historic or successor and a cutoff status of retired. The mission programs are mapped, not every mission or launch vehicle variant.
